Call for Papers
The Organizing Committee of the XIX World’s Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf issues a Call for Papers for presentations at the XIX World’s Congress, to take place in Jeju, Korea from July 11-15, 2023.
The Congress welcomes submissions from a wide spectrum of scholars, organizations, activists, and individuals doing new and innovative work on deaf lives and deaf communities corresponding to the themes of the Congress’s Scientific Commissions.
Presentations will be submitted to one of the following Scientific Commissions.
Commission on Sign Language and Deaf Studies
Commission on Achieving Quality Multilingual Inclusive Education
Commission on Technology, Accessibility, and Employment
Commission on International Cooperation and Development
Commission on Human Rights during Humanitarian Emergencies and Crises
Commission on Intersectionalities in Deaf Communities

Please review the themes and submit to one Commission.
Format :
Presentations may be paper presentations or posters. Presentation slots may have more than one presenter.
• As the establishment of the Call for Papers system is completed, the submission date is going to extended by November 1, 2022.
Closing Date : November 6, 2022 11:59PM (KST)
Notifications : December 22, 2022 (KST)
Those selected as presenters must register for the World Congress by January 31, 2023.
Terms :
All submissions should contain original work from the presenters.
Presenters may submit different papers to different Commissions but cannot submit the same paper to more than one Commission. Any duplicate submissions will result in the removal of both submissions.
