The World Federation of the Deaf
The World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) is an international non-governmental organisation representing and promoting the human rights of more than 70 million deaf people globally since 1951. As a federation of national associations of deaf people (NADs) from 131 nations, the WFD is the authoritative representative body of deaf people worldwide. The WFD has consultative status at the UN ECOSOC and works in collaboration with partners around the world, including the International Disability Alliance, of which the WFD is a founding member.

Korea Association of the Deaf
The Korea Deaf Association was established in 1946 and has led the development of the present of the deaf community and culture through over 70 years of history. On February 3, 2016, the Korean Sign Language, as the native language of the deaf, was recognized as an official language through Sign language Act” and this was big achievement for the Korean deaf society. The KAD advocates for the rights and interests of the deaf in various fields such as economy, society, culture, and education, and improve their authority so that they
can be active members of our cmmunity.
